MARCH BOOK HAUL ! 📚

These are all the books that I have required during the month of March. I'm all for getting thrifted books so most of the books you see here are from Thriftbooks. It my favorite place to buy books online. Three are from my BOTM club subscription. And the rest are from Amazon.

my pic, my books :-)

This month I got a lot of YA books with women of color leads. I had expressed this before on twitter, but the reason why I pick up some of these books, not just for the fascinating storyline, but for the fact that I'm a mom and an aunt with nieces. I want for them to come and ask me for a book recommendation and I can give them a book with someone who looks like them reflected in the pages that they read. Representation matters.

Terry McMillan has been speaking to my life lately, so I kinda decided to splurge and get her books to satisfy my need. Disappearing Acts is already on my shelves. And so I don't have to wear out my Waiting to Exhale DVD. My mom always said that the book was better, now it is time I take her word for it.
The comics and one small poetry book you see in the middle are:
I'm really excited to read Dreamland Burning by Jennifer Latham. I read her first book, Scarlet Undercover last year and I was really impressed by it. I wished that she would write more of that world. But it is what it is. Same goes for The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas. Her debut novel has been getting A TON of buzz lately. And FYI Finding Amos was such a hard find, but I'm happy to have it in my collection. Truth be told I'm hyped about reading all these books.

Let me know if you have required some new books in March, or if you have read or plan to read any of these books 👇down below👇. And I'll see ya'll next time.

PEACE✌
